Jermyn Street Design has won two major industry awards at the prestigious Professional Clothing Awards, held this week in London. The JSD team won the headline award of Business Manager of the Year for the company’s exciting new range for Eurostar, as well as a Highly Commended in the Best Managed Boutique Contract category for the new uniform for Guinness World Records.
The Professional Clothing Awards attracts entries from around the world and the most sought after trophy is that of Business Manager of the Year. This year it was awarded to JSD and Eurostar, and it specifically recognises the significant role that Business Managers have in serving clients, understanding and fulfilling complex briefs, and delivering on time and within budget.
Ann Dowdeswell, Sales Director of Jermyn Street Design, comments on behalf of the team: “We are immensely proud of the JSD team and winning the Business Manager of the Year award is a great acknowledgement of the excellent service and dedication they show all our clients. Sharing this award with Eurostar is a proud moment for us all.”
The high profile Eurostar uniform was launched at a media event, held at St Pancras Station, and was hugely well received by wearers in the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium and France, as well as by passengers.
Marion Baudet, Customer Service Delivery Manager for Eurostar, who received the award along with the JSD team, commented: “I feel extremely proud to have won this award. It is testament to our strong partnership with Jermyn Street Design and also the involvement and passion throughout the years of all our uniform wearers and colleagues.”
The new uniform for Guinness World Records won the Best Managed Boutique Contract. The uniforms are worn by GWR’s global team of Adjudicators who oversee every new record-breaking attempt, so the uniform must work in public appearances and also be camera-friendly.
Christelle BeTrong from Guinness World Records commented: “We are very proud to have been nominated for an award at the Professional Clothing Awards 2016 and it is a huge honour to have been ‘highly commended’ for the Best Managed Contract for Boutique. We had a great time at the ceremony and it is safe to say that the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS adjudicators now travel the world with a high quality, comfortable and well designed uniform. Many thanks on behalf of Guinness World Records.”
